PROJECT DELIVERABLE 2: BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS

Project Deliverable 2: Business Requirements. In this deliverable, you will create an original business requirements document for the project plan using the template provided. You will be asked to describe the detailed project including the scope, possible risks, constraints, assumptions, integration with other systems and infrastructure, and relevant terms that will be used throughout the project. You will also need to update the project plan.

This assignment consists of two (2) sections: a business requirements document and a project plan. You must submit both sections as separate files for the completion of this assignment. Label each file name according to the section of the assignment it is written for. Additionally, you may create and / or assume all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.

Documenting the existing IT network and system is an important first step, but you, the CIO, know that capturing the needed changes can be critical to your success as an executive. You know that procuring and documenting quality business requirements is an important step toward the design of quality information systems. Completion of a quality requirements document allows user needs and expectations to be captured, so that infrastructure and information systems can be designed properly. Using the requirements document provided in the course shell as a part of the requirements gathering process, you are to assess the needs of the company as it prepares to become a multinational organization. You must consider current and future trends and requirements; however, assumptions should be realistic and carefully considered. The needs of the organization should be documented. Later deliverables will focus on specifics of all requirements.

Section 1: Business Requirements Document

Write a four to six (4-6) page original business requirements document for the project plan using the template provided here. Note: The template can also be found in the Student Center of the online course shell.

Describe the project needs, including the following:

  1. Describe the scope and analyze how to control the scope.
  2. Speculate and give justifications for how to control scope.
  3. Identify possible risks, constraints, and assumptions.
  4. Describe the needed integration with other systems and infrastructure. Note: Database and Data Warehousing, Cloud Technology and Virtualization, and Network Infrastructure and Security.
  5. Assess the human capital that may be needed to complete the project, ensuring that necessary skill sets are identified.
  6. Speculate on possible outsourcing or offshoring needs that may be required to accomplish project.
  7. Define relevant terms that will be used throughout the project.
  8. Include cost projections for staffing, infrastructure, and other resources.
  9. Use at least two (2) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Use the provided Business Requirements Document template as a guide for this assignment.
  • Citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

Use Microsoft Project to:

Forensic assessment has been largely shaped by statutes, legal standards, and the outcomes of historical landmark cases.  When working in an environment where there is no room for error, it is  imperative to understand the relevant court decisions that inform the  rationale behind various assessment procedures. Unless one knows the  relevant statutory or case law, as well as the standards that they set,  it is not possible to select an appropriate method of assessment.

Using  resources from the professional literature, investigate the research  literature on one landmark case pertaining to an important psycholegal  issue that forensic mental health professionals address in their  assessments. The psycholegal issue may be chosen from the area of criminal forensic psychology  (e.g., competency to waive Miranda rights, competency to stand trial,  or mental state at the time of the offense), or it may be chosen from  the civil area, such as cases pertaining to the right to  treatment, the right to refuse treatment, civil commitment, child  custody, fitness to parent, or disability. Remember that you must select  a case that has direct implications for the work of a forensic mental  health professional. Landmark cases are typically historical ones.  Recent legal cases that are prominent in the news are not necessarily  landmark cases.

The  literature you consult can include the Argosy University online library  resources, relevant textbooks, peer-reviewed journal articles, and  websites ending in .edu or .gov that are created by professional  organizations, agencies, or institutions.

More specifically, you are encouraged to refer to your program-required textbook Psychological Evaluations for the Courts: A Handbook for Mental Health Professionals and Lawyers for landmark cases.

Evaluate the MMP1-2-RF Police Candidate Interpretive Reports for Mr. C (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.. and Ms. D. (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. For this discussion, you will take on the role of an industrial-organizational psychologist recently awarded a contract to evaluate potential police candidates. The purpose of the evaluations is to determine the psychological capability of the applicants to be certified as police officers in your state. The applicants you are examining are applying for certification and will be vested with a position of public trust. If certified as police officers, the individuals will likely be required at some future time to exercise significant physical strength and undergo high emotional stress. As the examining psychologist, you are required to comment on the applicants’ social comprehension, judgment, impulse control, potential for violence, and/or any psychological traits that might render her or him psychologically at risk to be certified. The state requires that each applicant’s examination include the following elements:

Interview and History: The psychologist must personally interview the applicant and provide a summary of the applicant’s personal, educational, employment, and criminal history.

Required Personality Test: The applicant shall be administered any current standard form of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) by the licensed psychologist who interviewed the individual, or by a paraprofessional employed by and under the direct control and supervision of that licensed psychologist.

Other Testing Methods: If (after conducting the required test) the licensed psychologist is unable to certify the applicant’s psychological capability or risk to exercise appropriate judgment and restraint to be certified as a police officer, the psychologist is directed to personally employ whatever other psychological measuring instrument(s) and/or technique(s) deemed necessary to form her or his professional opinion. The use of any such instrument(s) and/or technique(s) requires a full and complete written explanation to the commission.

For the purposes of this discussion, assume the interview and history information reported to you by Mr. C. and Ms. D. is unremarkable and that neither candidate communicated anything to you during the interview that raised concerns about her or his capabilities to exercise appropriate judgment and restraint to be certified as a police officer.
