Devise Plan To Rais Child

Devise Plan To Rais Child

(Devise Plan To Rais Child)

Your good friends have just adopted a four-year-old child. At this point, the only socialization decision they have made is that the child is going to preschool. Imagine that you are an expert in your chosen field. Your friends have come to you for advice and to devise a plan to raise their child. They ask you to be frank with them and give them specific examples to support your opinions. They are determined to raise this child to the best of their ability. Since they are new parents, they need advice on everything!

The Final Paper should include the following:

  1. Summarize Bronfenbrenner’s ecological model and describe why it is important for them to be aware of this theory.
  2. Suggest and explain a parenting style/philosophy (authoritarian, authoritative, or permissive) that you believe will be most beneficial for the child and the family.
  3. Explain which childcare (nanny, center-based, or family-based care) option (before/during/after preschool) you think is best for the child and why. Be sure to include discussion of the social factors that influence the likelihood of the family selecting a particular form of childcare.
  4. Share specific suggestions, including at least two to implement safe technology use in the home. Explain how the media can (both positively and negatively) influence the child.
  5. Discuss the importance of culture and ethnicity in the development of the self-concept. Share your ideas of ways that the new parents can create opportunities for the child to learn about his or her culture.
  6. Describe at least two researched methods to increase the child’s self-esteem and positive attitude.
  7. Differentiate between the importance of socialization that occurs in the home and at school. Explain the importance of each venue as a positive haven for the child.
  8. Explain the importance of the teacher’s role in the child’s life. Give examples of how the school and the teacher will affect the child’s socialization.
  9. Share the importance of positive peer interactions. Give two examples for the parents to implement at home to foster friendships.
  10. The conclusion of the Final Paper should include the following:
    1. Brief discussion of the student’s future profession and how understanding the nature of families and children in relation to society is important for that profession.
    2. Discussion of how the student’s knowledge of the theories of socialization will impact his or her work in the future profession.
    3. Discussion of how the student’s understanding of child development will assist him or her in the chosen profession.

Enhancing Learning Objectives Precision

Enhancing Learning Objectives Precision

(Enhancing Learning Objectives Precision)

Please Answer Base In This Answer In APA Format .Write At Least 250 Words , Please Answer The Comments By Number And List Your Answers Please, Thank You

1-I think “Specificity” is the main word in writing learning objectives. It helps participants to know what the training is all about and what needs to be done at the end of the training. In your last paragraph, I think you use the nursing process, which I think is a good one. At the end of the training, the feedback is what will help the trainer to know if the learning objectives are achieved or not. Any changes that needed to be made will be made and any additional training or explanation might also be applicable.

2-Based on what I’ve gathered from the reading, it’s very important to understand the learning abilities of the participants involved. Clear and measurable behavioral learning objectives are the foundation for planning an educational activity when it comes to engaging both patient and family members. The use an action verb to specify the behavior change you expect to be able to measure as a result of the learning. The verb should correspond with what opportunities are given for the participants to demonstrate the newly learned information. A learning objective is measurable when the participant can perform a task (list) identified in the learning objective (NHNA, 2016).

An example of a clear and measurable learning objective would be if the participants were able to “List three significant risk factors that leads to metabolic syndrome”.

3-Your birthing class experience is a perfect example. It shows, as you mentioned, many different levels of education needed. I think the one objective you mentioned that you would add is valid. This would key the class in to observing what type of pain control would really work best for them. Many people may have entered the class not realizing there are different options of pain control, so they may have missed this information. As you mentioned, teaching a group of people can present more challenges with different levels of needs and learning styles.

Development Throughout The Lifespan.

Development Throughout The Lifespan.

(Development Throughout The Lifespan.)

Erikson and Freud are two of the few theorists who have developed a lifespan approach to development. Freud’s approach to development was psychosexual while Erikson’s was psychosocial. Even though Freud’s theory is better known, Erikson’s theory remains a leading and very much applied model in personality and developmental psychology today.

When considering these two stage-oriented theories, you can directly compare the majority of their stages. These are matched in the following table:

Approximate Age
Freud’s Stages of Psychosexual Development
Erikson’s Stages of Psychosocial development
Infancy (Birth to 1 year)
Oral stage
Trust versus mistrust
Early childhood (1–3 years)
Anal stage
Autonomy versus doubt
Preschool (3–6 years)
Phallic stage
Initiative versus guilt
School age (7–11 years)
Latent period
Industry versus inferiority
Adolescence (12–18 years)
Genital stage
Identity versus role confusion
Young adulthood (19–40 years)
Intimacy versus isolation
Middle adulthood (40–65 years)
Generativity versus stagnation
Older adulthood (65–death)
Integrity versus despair

When considering Erikson’s eight stages of development, the way a person moves through each stage directly affects their success in the next stage. Their personality is being built and shaped with each stage. At each stage, there is a turning point, called a crisis by Erikson, which a person must confront.

In this assignment, you will observe or interview two different people, each at a different stage of development. For a third observation, take a look at yourself and the stage that you are in (this stage must be different from your other two observations).

  • Record your three observations in a template. Include the following information:
    • Name
    • Age
    • Gender
    • Current developmental stage
    • Status within the stage (i.e., identity achievement or role confusion)
    • Events that have lead to this status

Download a Development Template from the Doc Sharing area to record your observations.

  • Summarize what you have learned about psychosocial development through these observations/interviews.
  • Summarize the trends you see in your observations/interviews regarding psychosocial development.
  • How does movement through Erikson’s stages influence personality development? Again, be specific.
  • How do Erikson’s stages of development compare to Freud’s stages? How are they similar? How are they different?
  • Between these two theories, which one do you feel best explains your own personality development? Justify your answers with specific examples.

Human Sexuality Assignment

Human Sexuality Assignment

(Human Sexuality Assignment)

Gender Appropriate and Inappropriate Behaviors

Recent headlines have sparked heated debate about whether boys should be allowed to dress as girls. For example, a 5-year-old boy in Seattle who enjoys things traditionally for girls, such as jewelry, the color pink, and dresses was supported and encouraged by his mother, who wrote a book about him called “My Princess Boy”. A J. Crew ad featured a mother painting her young boy’s toenails hot pink (CBS News, 2011 April 13). Reactions ranged from outrage and disbelief to support of the mothers.

On the flipside, girls who shun traditionally “girly things” such as dresses and flowers in favor of more traditional “boy things” such as watching or playing sports, rough-and-tumble play, and choosing boys as friends are often called tomboys.

For either sex, choosing to engage in activities traditionally reserved for a specific sex can result in teasing and accusations of homosexuality.

  • Using research gathered from your textbook, online course content, and at least 1 research article, analyze the above scenarios.
    • Are the behaviors discussed above (i.e., preferring things traditionally acceptable for a specific sex) indicative of homosexuality? Why or why not?
    • Describe the psychological consequences (positive and negative) that might result from engaging in behaviors reserved for a specific sex?
    • Develop an argument for or against concern that these children might be exhibiting a paraphilia.
    • Which paraphilia(s) might apply and what criteria would you use based on the research?
    • What, if any, intervention would you recommend to a parent whose little girl or boy expresses the desire to engage in behaviors typical of the opposite sex? If you do not believe intervention is necessary, explain why.

By the due date assigned, write an essay that is 3-5 pages in length. Also include a cover page and reference list. Remember to support your arguments with information drawn from the online content, the textbook, and other credible, scholarly sources to substantiate the points you are making.  Apply APA standards to for writing and citations to your work.

The paper should be double-spaced 12-point typescript, Times Roman font, with 1-inch margins all around, and free from grammatical errors.

Instruction

Research Project Instructions

(research project:cancer)

The Purpose: There are a couple purposes for this project. The first purpose is to assist you in gaining information and resources on the major issues women may bring to you in counseling. Every student in this class will select a different topic to research. At the end of this course, this will become a class project in which each student will share his/her research with the rest of the class. This will allow you to compile a resource notebook or a resource file on counseling women. The second purpose is to prepare a presentation for a future workshop you may teach on your selected topic.

Basic Description: You are to select a topic that is of specific interest to you and then research your topic as if you were preparing a workshop on it to teach to a group of fellow counselors. The topic list provided purposely does not include topics that are discussed in this class. The reason is to help you gain “additional” information beyond what we cover in the class lectures and activities. You are allowed to seek approval of other topics you would like to present that are not on this list. Before beginning your research, be sure the topic is not covered already in this course and that you have received your instructor’s approval.

Instructions for the Research Project:(research project:cancer)

  • Select a topic and submit it to your instructor for approval in the Research Project Topic Discussion Board forum by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 1.
  • Part A of this project includes the primary research information you would prepare in order to put together a presentation on your topic. It will basically look like a research paper using subheadings to be used in presenting your topic. Part A is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 6.
  • Part B of this project will be a quick outline document that you would provide as a handout at your workshop. This handout can also include additional charts or appendices with an explanation. Submit the Research Project: Part B via the assignment link and also upload this assignment to the Research Project File Exchange under the My Groups tab by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 7.

Part A:(research project:cancer)

  1. Select one topic from the topic list provided. Decide on a topic for your research project and post it in the Research Project Topic Discussion Board forum in order to receive approval from your instructor. Each student will research a different topic; therefore, once a topic has been selected, it will no longer be available. Topics will be approved on a “first come, first served” basis.
  2. Research your topic by looking for information on treatment options or intervention approaches to assist women with that particular problem/disorder. Investigate your topic in depth; do not provide a broad survey of the topic.
  3. Part A of the project should be 12-15 pages in content length. (The abstract, appendices and reference list are not included as content.)
  4. The entire paper should follow APA format.
  5. You must research at least 12-15 “professional” resources for your topic. A majority (about 80%) of these resources need to be scholarly books, professional journal articles, or professional online websites with no more than 3-4 from professional websites. A combination of all three resources will earn you a better grade. Also, a majority (about 90%) of your resources must be published within the last 10 years.
  6. You must include biblical integration as part of your treatment options.
  7. Your paper must demonstrate your ability to integrate and synthesize the information you collect in your research. You should not cut and paste information from your sources. If you would like to include lists (example: symptoms, causes, etc.) for any reason, put them in an appendix and refer to them in your paper.
  8. As you conduct your research, you may want to look for the following information, however, your primary focus must be on treatment options or interventions:
    1. Description of the problem

Summarize the problem by providing a brief description of it.

    1. Current statistics on the topic area

Provide any statistics you find in your research that discusses the prevalence or demographics of the problem. (Example: One in four women experience sexual abuse as a child.)

    1. Symptoms of the problem

Provide a description of the most common symptoms experienced by someone with this problem. Also, include areas a counselor would want to specifically assess in the initial interview based on what you know about this issue.

    1. Causes of the problem

Provide a summary of the general causes that lead someone to develop this type of problem. Include developmental and familial issues in this section.

    1. Treatment of the problem – This is the major part, about 50-60%, of your paper.

Provide treatment options that you find in your research. You should use more than 2-3 resources in this section.

    1. Biblical perspectives on the problem

Provide verses or biblical examples that you can use to assist someone with this problem.

    1. Homework assignments

Provide suggestions for homework assignments found in your research to assist a client in dealing with this problem. If you do not find any in your research, then make a few suggestions using your own creativity.

    1. Additional information (optional)

If you find anything in addition that you believe would be helpful to your classmates, please include it here. You may include advice or recommendations from your own personal experiences with this problem (whether you experienced it yourself or assisted someone with the problem).

When putting Part A of the project together, you should include the following:

a)       Title Page

b)      Abstract

c)       Content (12-15 pages)

d)      Appendices (additional information)

e)       References page

f)       If you have a personal illustration that you believe would be helpful to incorporate into your project, please include it in an appendix.

  1. When you have completed Part A of the Research Project, submit your draft via SafeAssign. The final copy is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 6.

Part B:(research project:cancer)

This part of your project will be a 2-5 page handout that you would provide at your workshop. (This could possibly be converted into a PowerPoint presentation for your workshop). This handout can also include additional charts or appendices with an explanation for each. This is the part of your project that you will upload to the Research Project File Exchange under My Groups so that you can share with your fellow classmates; do your best to include the important points from your research.

Since this is a handout, feel free to be creative in your arrangement of this handout. You may include pictures, charts, diagrams, etc. You may use different font sizes for your words. Do whatever is needed to make it an aesthetically pleasing presentation for your audience; however, you must include citations (in APA format) throughout the handout where you include information from your research. At least 5 sources must be used in this handout. (Your audience will want to know where you obtained your information.)

Submit Part B via the assignment link and upload this assignment to the Research Project File Exchange by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 7.

Validity in Quantitative Research Designs

Validity in Quantitative Research Designs

(Validity in Quantitative Research Designs)

Question description

Reflect on the following scenarios:

Wanda has been involved in a research study of the causes of tooth decay in elementary school children. Twenty-five percent of the students in the free breakfast program at a local school have been screened by a local dental hygienist. The dental hygienist finds an average of 3.5 cavities per student. The same dental hygienist recently screened 25% of the students in a school with no free breakfast program, and found an average of only 1.5 cavities per student. Wanda concludes that the breakfast served to students is the cause of higher tooth decay. Do you agree with Wanda? Can you think of other causes for the higher number of cavities among the students from the school with free breakfast?

Jerry is conducting a phone survey to determine public opinions on Medicaid reform. In order to get a random sample, Jerry decides to call the tenth number on the second column of every fifth page of the phone book. He also decides to stop sampling when he has completed 50 surveys. After reaching the target number, Jerry begins to analyze the data he has gathered and is surprised to find that opposition to reform is running about 18% higher than the national average. He is at a quandary to explain this significant difference in numbers. What are some reasons you can think of for the higher rate of opposition?

As you consider these scenarios, you may note issues or problems related to the validity of the research and conclusions. This week, you assess validity in quantitative research. You are introduced to the different types of validity and why they are important to consider when evaluating evidence and research studies. You also examine common threats to validity and consider how to minimize those threats.

Discussion: Validity in Quantitative Research Designs

Validity in research refers to the extent researchers can be confident that the cause and effect they identify in their research are in fact causal relationships. If there is low validity in a study, it usually means that the research design is flawed and the results will be of little or no value. Four different aspects of validity should be considered when reviewing a research design: statistical conclusion validity, internal validity, construct validity, and external validity. In this Discussion, you consider the importance of each of these aspects in judging the validity of quantitative research.

To prepare:

  • Review the information in Chapter 10 of the course text on rigor and validity.
  • Read the method section of one of the following quasi-experimental studies (also located in this week’s Learning Resources). Identify at least one potential concern that could be raised about the study’s internal validity.
  • Consider strategies that could be used to strengthen the study’s internal validity and how this would impact the three other types of validity.
  • Think about the consequences of an advanced practice nurse neglecting to consider the validity of a research study when reviewing the research for potential use in developing an evidence-based practice.

Post the title of the study that you selected and your analysis of the potential concerns that could be raised about the study’s internal validity. Propose recommendations to strengthen the internal validity and assess the effect your changes could have with regard to the other three types of validity. Discuss the dangers of failing to consider the validity of a research study.

Marriage And Relationship

Marriage And Relationship

(Marriage And Relationship)

Marriage and relationships are intricate dances of love, companionship, and mutual growth. At their core, they require trust, communication, and compromise. Marriage symbolizes a commitment to share life’s joys and burdens, to navigate its challenges together, and to support one another’s dreams. It’s a journey of discovering and rediscovering each other, fostering emotional intimacy, and building a shared future.

Successful relationships thrive on empathy, respect, and appreciation for each other’s individuality. They are nurtured by shared experiences, laughter, and moments of vulnerability. However, they also demand patience, forgiveness, and resilience in the face of inevitable conflicts and setbacks.

Maintaining a healthy marriage involves prioritizing the relationship, whether through regular date nights, open dialogue, or acts of kindness. It’s about celebrating milestones, but also weathering storms hand in hand.

Ultimately, marriage and relationships are as unique as the individuals in them. While there’s no one-size-fits-all formula for success, cultivating love, understanding, and commitment lays the foundation for a fulfilling lifelong partnership.

Marriage And Relationship

Relationship Issues that make or break the relationship.

Who is your ideal mate?

What are the deal breakers?

1 to 10, how important is physical appearance?  10 being critically important, 1 being not at all.

What are the most important characteristics of your ideal mate?  Be honest with yourself and PLEASE STAY AWAY from cliche answers if you would.  I mean it!

The safe answer would be something like, “Someone who is there for me, respects me, and loves me for who I am.”  Or, the next most common one I’ve read is, “I need a God fearing man”.

This assignment is supposed to provoke something from deep within your soul that you may have never truly thought deeply enough.

Think about it.  “Someone who respects you and there for you.”  That’s about 70% of all whom you come in contact with on a daily basis, like coworkers, student body, faculty, starbucks employee, etc.  “Someone who loves me for who I am.”  That should be 100% of every one of your regular friends.  If they do not, they are not your friends…..  “God fearing man/woman.”  That should be about 99% of everyone at your church, synagogue, or mosque.

These vanilla answers that people are so readily give really doesn’t fit who you truly are and who you would need, in order for him or her to be your ONE AND ONLY soulmate.

Hence, PLEASE stay away from mundane conversation.  This should be one of the most intriguing conversation we have in this class.

If you have to think about this for 24 to 48 hours to come up with a uniquely fitting statement for yourself, so be it!  It should be that special.  If not, then think deeper.

If this comes across as a soapbox, I apologize, but my previous classes have bored me and each other with this topic as they missed the entire point of this assignment.

This is the the nursing diagnosis part in case you cannot find it in the paper.

The nursing diagnosis focused in this paper is “An ineffective health maintenance as evidenced by opioid abuse related to serious impairment, suicide, depression, sleep disturbance, and anxiety by opioids abusers especially teenagers and older”. As witnessed in nursing assessment, the use of opioids for wrong purposes is the reason why opioids abuse is increasing tremendously over the past decades (Butcher et al, 2018). The focus of this paper is therefore to examine the best interventions that can be used to minimize opioids abuse in order to minimize mental health problems that have been witnessed in the past.

In relation to Millennium Development Goals ratified by more than 191 members states, the nursing diagnosis focus in this paper will act as a cornerstone in achieving those MDGs especially in relation to improving maternal health and reducing child mortality (Morton et al, 2017). As part of achieving these MDGs goals, the evidence-based treatment plan for opioids is mainly centered on methadone and Buprenorphine that have been scientifically proven to be effective in treatments for opioid use disorder. A recent meta-analysis has concluded that methadone and Buprenorphine are linked to higher treatment retention.

The nursing diagnosis is important because it helps in minimizing mental health diagnosis that is mainly caused by opioids abuse. It also assists in designing effective secondary prevention that can be employed to minimize the rate of opioids abuse in the community (Morton et al, 2017). The nursing diagnosis is centered on offering coping mechanisms that can be utilized to reduce the number of medical lapses and exacerbation conditions triggered by aforementioned health conditions. When using the nursing diagnosis, it is important to consider the historical and current health records of the patients before delivering the services.
