Please Answer Base In This Answer In APA Format .Write At Least 250 Words , Please Answer The Comments By Number And List Your Answers Please, Thank You

1-In my own opinion, I think it is in the hands of the husband and wife to make the family function as one. I am from a polygamous family myself and we all tried to function as one even though there are sentiments within the family. My siblings and half siblings fought so hard to make everyone function as one. I am the third of sixteen children my father had, meaning I am role model and a mentor to my younger ones. I can say a polygamous family is in a way similar to couple who had kids in previous marriages in the sense that it involves women and half sibling trying to function as one. In the case of a couple with previous marriages have a great deal of responsibilities on them. Both husband and wife must be willing to totally accept the kids from previous marriages. Accepting and loving the kids from previous marriages will bring peace and harmony to the family.

2-I agree, divorce is devastating. Children can have an extremely hard time adapting to their new home life. It is very import for the parents to establish some type of stability as well as frame work and guidelines, as you have stated. This will offer the children support and structure that is needed during the deveopmental years.

3-Respect and understanding there will be difficulty is a great point to make when discussing role changes in a family.  Communication between parents and children in the case of divorce is also very important to help the children adapt to their situations.  Disruption of family because of death is also a situation when these same interventions come to mind; emotions run wild for all family members and coping is hard.  In these circumstances it’s important to focus on the members as individuals in their coping so that they are able to overcome and begin to function as a unit of the family again.

NGR 6811 Philosophical and Theoretical Foundations of Advanced Nursing Practice Roles

Theory Application Individual Paper (35%)

The theory application individual paper involves using theory to guide nursing actions in a clinical scenario. First, the paper involves determining the phenomena with its concepts. Secondly, the paper provides in-depth analysis of the theory and its concepts. Finally, the paper will allow the learner to apply the theoretical concepts to a nursing situation in a clinical environment. In addition, this paper supports your personal and professional development as a scholar in the nursing discipline.

The purpose of this assignment is to:

  1. Identify and apply theoretical principles from a middle range nursing theory to the concepts of a phenomenon or situation in one’s clinical practice
  2. Conduct a comprehensive library database search using appropriate controlled vocabulary and limiters and expanders to locate scholarly references related to the theory and phenomenon; and
  3. Critically analyze and apply the theoretical principles to a nursing situation in a clinical environment.
  4. Engage in writing to learn as a means to strengthen the written presentation of concepts and ideas essential to nursing scholarship.

Begin by identifying an area of specialty interest. From this interest recall an observation from your practice experience and write a short summary or scenario describing the nursing phenomenon or situation. Specify the concepts of the phenomena. Select one middle range theory that pertains to or explains the phenomenon identified. Next, specify the concepts of the theory that pertain to the phenomena.

Search a selected bibliographic database in the library to locate references pertaining to the concepts of the phenomena and theory and retrieve the most appropriate articles to reference in the discussion of the nursing situation. The body of the paper demonstrates a refined understanding of the nursing situation in light of the information from the journal articles and the theory. Primary sources are to be accessed.

The assignment concludes with a discussion of the concept, phenomenon, theory, and how it applies to his or her practice. The paper content should be nearly 5-7 pages (excluding the title page, reference page, and appendix) and prepared in APA style (levels of headings, double spaced, in-text citation, and references).

Criteria Possible Points
Introduction (Do not put this heading in your paper)
Short paragraph to introduce the topic with demographic characteristics, prevalence and/or incidence of the patient-centered phenomenon. (1 point)

Cross-Cultural Realities at Work (individual interview report)

(Cross-Cultural Realities At Work)

In this individual assignment, you are required to interview someone who is different from you (see criteria below) so that you may learn from the interviewee and be able to adequately reflect on the questions for analysis as given below. Please make yourself aware of questions for interview and for analysis before conducting the interview.

This interview is designed for students who are learning about diversity.

Preparation

Find someone who meets all three criteria:

  • at least 7 years older or younger than you are;
  • doing work that you may not imagine yourself doing; and

Conducting the Interview

Your goal is to get the person talking. Listen for what is said, what is implied, and what is not said. Try not to insert your opinions and experience. Use the sample interview questions as below; please feel free to add your own.

Start the interview by explaining who you are and why you are interviewing him or her. Thank the person sincerely for giving you his or her time and thoughts. Be sensitive throughout the interview regarding whether the person wants to continue.

Sample Interview Questions

Start with questions that are easy and comfortable to answer.

  1. What kind of work do you do?
  2. How long have you been doing it?
  3. Can you describe a typical workday?

Evaluating Handwashing in Healthcare

Evaluating Handwashing in Healthcare

(Evaluating Handwashing in Healthcare)

Handwashing is a critical practice in healthcare settings, essential for preventing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Proper hand hygiene can significantly reduce the transmission of pathogens, thus safeguarding both patients and healthcare workers. Despite its simplicity and effectiveness, compliance with handwashing protocols remains suboptimal, influenced by factors such as heavy workloads, understaffing, and insufficient training.

Adherence to handwashing guidelines is pivotal in controlling the spread of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) and preventing outbreaks. The World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advocate for the use of alcohol-based hand rubs (ABHR) as the preferred method for routine hand hygiene due to their efficiency, ease of use, and broad antimicrobial activity. However, situations involving visible soil or contamination with Clostridium difficile spores necessitate the use of soap and water.

Regular education, accessible hand hygiene facilities, and robust monitoring systems are crucial for improving compliance. Furthermore, fostering a culture of safety where hand hygiene is prioritized can enhance adherence rates. Technological innovations like electronic monitoring systems and visual reminders can also play a significant role. Ultimately, rigorous hand hygiene practices are fundamental to improving patient outcomes and ensuring a safer healthcare environment.

• Review the video tutorial for an overview of conducting multiple regression in SPSS.

• Download and open the Popularity SPSS data set.

An overview of the data set:

This data set represents hypothetical data from a study that examined how well some core personality traits predict a person’s level of popularity. Personality was measured using the “Big 5,” which is a very commonly used measure of personality. In fact, a Big 5 personality scale was included in the Module Two discussion.

Here is some more information about the variables in this hypothetical data set:

• Number: This is the ID number of the participant

• Sex: Participants’ sex, with “1” standing for male and “2” standing for female

• Age: College year of the participant, with “1” standing for freshman, “2” standing for sophomore, etc.

• Popularity: Popularity measured with a questionnaire that could range from 0 to 100, with higher numbers indicating more popularity

• Extroversion: A Big 5 trait indicating level of sociability. Scores range from 1 to 5, with high numbers indicating extroverted and low numbers indicating introverted

• Agreeableness: A Big 5 trait indicating level of interpersonal warmth and friendliness. Scores range from 1 to 5, with high numbers indicating warmth and low numbers indicating coldness towards others

• Conscientiousness: A Big 5 trait indicating level of self-control and responsibility. Scores range from 1 to 5, with high numbers indicating high conscientiousness and low numbers indicating low conscientiousness

• Neuroticism: A Big 5 trait indicating level of anxiety and emotional stability. Scores range from 1 to 5, with high numbers indicating high neuroticism and low numbers indicating low neuroticism

• Openness: A Big 5 trait indicating level of willingness to try new things and creativity. Scores range from 1 to 5, with high numbers indicating high open-mindedness and low numbers indicating closed-mindedness

Questions:

1) Describe in your own words what type of research situations call for a researcher to use a multiple regression analysis.

Type answer below:

2a) Run a basic correlation of matrix for the Popularity, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness variables.

Paste output below (Read carefully: The best way to do this is to select “Copy Special” when copying from the SPSS output. Then select image as a format to copy. When pasting in Word, select Paste Special, choose a picture format, and then resize the image so it fits the screen):

2b) Based on these results, which personality variables are significantly correlated with Popularity?

Type answer below:

3a) Conduct a multiple regression analysis using Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness as predictors of Popularity.

Paste the output below:

3b) Which variables are significant predictors of Popularity? Compare and contrast the results from the multiple regression analysis to the basic correlation results from question 2b.

Type your answer below:

3c) What is the R-squared of this model, and what does it tell us about how well this model predicts Popularity?

Type your answer below:

Modue 5 Major Assignment

Modue 5 Major Assignment

(Modue 5 Major Assignment)

Although some states and cities have passed laws to ban texting and using handheld phones while driving, there is no current law to ban all cell phone use while driving. However, according to the National Safety Council (2009), 28 percent of all crashes—1.6 million per year—are caused by cell phone use and texting by drivers. The mission of a new national nonprofit organization called FocusDriven, patterned after Mothers Against Drunk Driving, is to make phone use while driving as illegal and socially unacceptable as drunk driving. US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood supports FocusDriven and its efforts: According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, LaHood said this movement will become “an army of people traveling the countryside” to push for bans on cell phone use and tough enforcement (Schmit, 2010).

As a political advocate interested in this issue, you will be writing a policy proposal that utilizes the current research to propose a solution to the issue and submit it in this assignment.

Please note that your proposal is not an opinion/position paper, and your conclusions need to be based on the scientific research you reviewed earlier. Please follow the typical steps in proper academic writing (planning, outlining, drafting, revising, proofing, and editing) to generate the following proposal structure:

Introduction

In the introduction, you should set up the purpose for the proposal, provide a bit of background on the topic, and present your thesis.

Policy

Now that you have researched a variety of studies (in M4: Assignment 2), compile that information together to create a recommendation for policy makers regarding cell phone use while driving.

1: In a one-page summary, compare and contrast the results of the various studies regarding the cognitive abilities that are affected during cell phone use while driving.

2: Using that research, develop and explain particular recommendations for policy makers. For instance, restrict texting, or regulate the use of hand-held phones. All your recommendations must be supported by your research findings.

3: Based on the gaps in current research, describe the variables, populations, and situations which you would like to see future research address.

Conclusion

Review the important current research, your conclusions from that research, and how the future could look in both policy and research. Keep your goal in mind: To convince the reader to support your current policy proposal and future research to examine this issue more closely.

Your proposal should be written in APA style (which includes a title page with running header and a reference page), and free of typographical and grammatical errors. The body of your proposal should be 4–5 pages long. turn in by Monday Jan. 4, 2016

Exploring Historical Gender Roles

Exploring Historical Gender Roles

(Exploring Historical Gender Roles)
Gender IdentityWe are socialized at every stage in life to conform to our gender identity. Societal reinforcement of tendencies of gender identity is relentless. For example, in hospitals, little girls are wrapped in pink and little boys in blue. This difference in colors influences how we learn and how we internalize our role in our society.

Girls tend to grow up to play feminine roles and boys tend to grow up to play masculine roles. This differentiation of gender identity has implications in social stratification. The videos given below will provide you with a better understanding of the differentiation of sexual identity from an earlier generation.

Search for and watch an episode of at least one of the following shows. You may find these videos using a variety of search methods including visiting your local library, using Netflix or your local video store, or searching on YouTube. If you have difficulty locating an episode of one of the following shows, contact your instructor for assistance in finding an alternative.

  • I Love Lucy
  • All in the Family
  • The Mickey Mouse Club
  • The Honeymooners
  • Leave it to Beaver
  • Father Knows Best
  • Gilligan’s Island
  • The Brady Bunch
  • I Dream of Jeannie

As you watch the video, ask yourself the following questions:

  • To what extent have things changed and to what extent have they remained the same in regards to gender roles, expectations, division, and identity from the time this show was originally popular and today?
  • How conscious and sensitive are the characters regarding gender prejudice, power inequality, and subordination?
  • Did they take inequality of the sexes for granted?

Based on your readings and understanding that you have gathered after watching the above-noted video, write a short biographical description of your life if you were to wake up tomorrow morning in the time period of the video you watched and find you have a different gender identity. Write a description of how you lived your life a day after your hypothetical change in gender as you answer the following questions:

  • Discuss how you would react on finding out that your sex is opposite. Would you feel a sense of relief, indifference, or elation? Why?
  • Discuss three ways your attitude towards the opposite sex was enlightened or would change as a result of what you learned from this project.  If you would not change your attitude, why?
  • Write down the ideas and attitudes you have taken for granted a member of your actual gender. Consider how your roles at home and in the office would change if you were a member of the opposite gender.
  • Relate the ideas of sexism and racism to the videos.  How do you think sexism and racism have changed since the 1950s?
