ATTACHED IS THE FIRST PAPER TO GO OFF OF
When looking for information about a particular issue, how often do you try to resist biases toward your own point of view? This assignment asks you to engage in this aspect of critical thinking.
The assignment is divided into two (2) parts.
For Part I of the assignment (due Week 2), you read a book excerpt about critical thinking processes, reviewed the Procon.org Website in order to gather information, and engaged in prewriting to examine your thoughts.
* Remember that in the Week 2 Discussion, you examined the biases discussed in Chapter 2 of the webtext.
In Part II of the assignment (due Week 4), you will write a paper to synthesize your ideas.
Part II – Writing
Write at three to four (3-4) page paper in which you:
1. State your position on the topic you selected for Assignment 1.1.
2. Identify (3) three premises (reasons) from the Procon.org website that support your position and explain why you selected these specific reasons.
3. Explain your answers to the “believing†questions about the three (3) premises opposing your position from the Procon.org website.
4. Examine at least two (2) types of biases that you likely experienced as you evaluated the premises for and against your position.
5. Discuss the effects of your own enculturation or group identification that may have influenced your biases.
6. Discuss whether or not your thinking about the topic has changed after playing the “Believing Game,†even if your position on the issue has stayed the same.
The paper should follow guidelines for clear and organized writing:

Unit IV Discussion Board
In this unit, we have discussed both the introduction and the literature review. Throughout the process of writing both of these sections, you have no doubt gained a better understanding of the controversy that you are exploring with your paper. You probably have a better sense of your argument and what you would like your points to be for your body paragraphs. Consider what you have experienced over the last few units. We are at the halfway point in the course, so think about how far you have come.
In this reflection, introduce your classmates to your project. Tell them about the pro and con sides of the controversy, and present them with your thesis statement. Then, consider some of the following questions as you reflect upon the road so far. If you want to, explain a little bit about your process. What have you experienced so far in writing your paper? Was it difficult or fairly easy to come up with your design? Do you feel confident about your progress so far? How do you feel about your thesis statement? What would you like to do in revisions? What step seems the most difficult or the easiest for you?
Due Week 4 and worth 290 points
According to the textbook, the current world economy is increasingly becoming integrated and interdependent; as a result, the relationship between business and society is becoming more complex. Use the Internet to research a Fortune 500 company of your choice. Use a tablet, smartphone, laptop, desktop, or traditional video recorder to record a maximum five to seven (5–7) minute dynamic video on the topics detailed below. Alternatively, you may submit a four to six (4–6) page paper instead of the video submission.
Note: If you are using a tablet or smartphone you will need to email the video file to yourself, then save it to a computer in order to upload to Blackboard. You may want to upload your video to a file sharing service, such as Dropbox, if your email will not let you send a large video file. Dropbox is accessible from all smartphones and tablets from the Dropbox app.
Once you are ready to upload your video to Blackboard, view the Kaltura video tutorial found in your online course shell
(Week 4). Please use the following naming convention in the popup window for your video once it is finished uploading:

In your Topic Exploration and Analysis Assignment in Week 2, you selected a social issue, analyzed its background information, developed a problem statement, and provided an explanation about why the social issue is important to investigate. This week, you examine multiple perspectives regarding potential solutions to that social issue.
Note: Even though you may have selected an issue about which you have strong feelings, it is important to work from as neutral a perspective as possible and try not to let your personal values and perceptions cloud your objectivity. In writing a literature review, your goal is to present information about a topic that already exists in the scholarly literature – not to share personal opinions. You will be expected to use evidence to support your statements by citing resources from the Walden Library.
To prepare for this Project:
Write a 2- to 3-page synopsis (not including the cover page or references) of your resource findings. Address the following in your review of the scholarly literature and be sure to use evidence to support your statements for each component:
Be sure to include an introduction, body, conclusion, and reference page, using APA format to cite each of your sources in the body of your paper.
For the assignment, the students will read and review “Worry, Intolerance of Uncertainty, and Statistics Anxiety†by Amanda S. Williams.
The report must be between 3- to 5-pages. Below, carefully read the requirements for the report.
I need someone to paraphrase engineering paper, I highlight the staff that I need you to paraphrase by red colour. Leave the red highlight as it is. Also please note that professor check on the parallelism so I need it with zero parallelism.
For many beginning psychologists, one of the most difficult topics to broach with a client is the topic of sex: sexual behavior, sexual identity, or sexual problems. By using professional sensitivity and consideration of other personal factors such as cultural awareness and client privacy, psychologists may produce a comfortable environment in which to lead the client into discussion.
The application this week consists of two parts. The first part is written based on the video case study. The man is the client. The second part is written based on the description of the 13 year old female listed below. She is the client. Do not forget to address both parts of the application. Provide a diagnosis and a complete rationale for both clients.
For the first part of this application, you review the client in the case study. Give a DSM-5 diagnosis for the presenting problem. Include an assessment of the client’s ability to function in daily life. Be sure to pay particular attention to symptoms of the disorder and the influence of the disorder on the client as well as the client’s significant other.
For the second part, imagine a 13-year-old female client is brought by her parents to see you. Her parents are concerned because they report their daughter is very unhappy with being a girl. She is increasingly being teased at school because she looks, dresses, and tries to act like a boy. She is an active athlete, but will only play contact sports with boys. The client states she does not like her breasts and wishes she could have them removed. She reports that she has always wanted to be a boy for as long as she can remember. Give a DSM-5 diagnosis for the presenting problem. Include an assessment of the client’s ability to function in daily life. Be sure to pay particular attention to the symptoms of the disorder and the influence it has on the client, as well as the client’s family.

Introduction
For this project, you are to apply the foundation knowledge you have acquired throughout this course and evaluate the model medical practice described here for you. You are the incoming Compliance Officer at Grace University Hospital. You have a staff of five coder/auditors, one systems analyst, and an office manager. All are full-time employees and have been part of the medical practice team for 15+ years.
There is a significant bias against the Compliance Program. You have been hired to evaluate, develop a mitigation strategy and put the program back on track with the guidelines as expected by the Federal and State governments. You also need to build credibility back into the program. The focus for this Compliance program project is on the Billing Compliance Program as it is responsible for the integrity of the medical record, privacy and security of health information (HI), accuracy of the assignment of billing codes and complete, and accurate documentation that reflects the services reported for reimbursement. There is a separate Compliance Program for Research and HR/Legal; however, your program collaborates extensively with Research and Legal. You also sit at the laboratory Compliance Committee and provide guidance as appropriate.
Existing Compliance Program
The corporate compliance program has essentially been inactive for three years and no audits have been completed during this time. There is pervasive mistrust of the compliance program. The compliance committee meets occasionally and not at all in the last year. There is no hotline or any publicized avenue of reporting for the general staff or patient population. The previous compliance officer was not in good standing with the medical staff because of enforced paybacks to the Medicare program. The existing policy and procedure manuals are outdated. There is no method in place for disseminating updated regulations or changes in policy. No one is able to provide you with any baseline information regarding billing or documentation compliance. There is no regular communication between the billing staff and the practice regarding denial, report requests or suspend trends.
You have received complaints for the following:
a) EMTALA violations
b) Fraudulent billing practices
c) Stark violations involving referrals to provider-owned laboratories
d) Medical identity theft
e) Security breaches
Staffing
The skillset of the staff is the following:
Three coder/auditors – CPC, CHC certified with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or a related field.
Two coder/auditors – CCS, CHC certified with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree ibn healthcare management or a related field.
Systems Analyst – BS in computer engineering and 5+ years’ experience in Epic, MediTech, HPF and Cerner. The analyst is also facile in database design and management.
Office Manager – BA in English with a minor in Drama and skilled in all Microsoft Office applications. She has special skills in project management, SharePoint and Access.
