use APA format. indicate which words are yours and which are the reference

Efforts to improve public health quality are integral to addressing health disparities and enhancing the overall well-being of populations. Various initiatives, policies, and programs have been designed to tackle public health challenges, improve access to healthcare, and ensure healthier communities. One significant effort is the implementation of health promotion and disease prevention programs that focus on reducing chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer (Healthy People 2030, 2020). These programs emphasize the importance of physical activity, nutrition, smoking cessation, and mental health support. By targeting key lifestyle factors, these initiatives aim to reduce the burden of preventable diseases and improve quality of life.

Another essential effort to improve public health is the expansion of healthcare access, particularly through policies such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in the United States. The ACA has provided millions of individuals with access to affordable health insurance, ensuring that more people can seek preventive care, vaccinations, and regular screenings (Sommers et al., 2017). These efforts not only improve individual health outcomes but also reduce healthcare costs by preventing diseases and addressing health issues before they become severe.

Public health surveillance and data collection also play a crucial role in improving quality. Monitoring trends in diseases, vaccination rates, and risk factors allows public health authorities to develop targeted interventions (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2020). These efforts help ensure that resources are allocated efficiently, and interventions are tailored to the needs of specific populations.

Efforts to improve public health quality are ongoing, requiring collaboration between governments, healthcare providers, and communities. By promoting prevention, improving access to care, and leveraging data, we can create healthier environments that enhance the quality of life for individuals across the globe.

Build a power point about amazon com see description

It is time to put on your “creative thinking cap.” Your Final Project will require that you utilize all the information from the previous weeks, including your draft slides and your notes in your Final Project Portfolio, and apply your learning to the following situation:

You have been hired as a consultant to your chosen organization, and you have been called in by the CEO of the organization to conduct a presentation to the upper level and mid-level managers. The CEO would like you to provide your best recommendations on what their organization can do to become more successful at effectively using and managing their information and business information systems.

Utilizing the above scenario, prepare a 10- to 12-slide final presentation (excluding title slide and reference slide). You must provide narrative and the speaker note section at the bottom of each slide so that the reader can follow along better. Your speaker notes should include your rationale and assumptions that pertain to your slide. You also need to have a minimum of 6-8 citations and references to support your direction.

Note: You may elect to include additional slides as part of an appendix if you have information you might reasonably assume that a CEO or upper management might want. It is not required that you do so.

Here is a suggested outline for the Final Project. You may decide that an alternative organization schema works better for you, or that you need to emphasize certain issues and trends that you think are most important to your chosen organization. Be prepared to make your case either way.

  • Title slide: Chosen organization
  • Background on organization
  • Issues/trends affecting the organization (see note below)
    • Week 2: Roles & Actions
    • Week 3: Utilization of Data Resources
    • Week 4: Driving Value from Business Information Systems
    • Week 5: Process-Oriented Organization
    • Week 6: Security and Ethical Issues
    • Week 7: Business Continuity Planning
  • Summary of major findings or issues that are likely to cause the most concern to this group
  • Recommendations for action based on your evaluation of your organization and the learning and readings from the course
  • References in the form of an annotated bibliography in APA format
  • Appendices (optional)

Hint: Each of these sections utilizes the information that you provided in your Shared Practice Discussions and Assignments for that respective week. You will likely need more than one slide for your summary of major findings and your recommendations.

Trends in Evaluation Vocabulary

Trends in Evaluation Vocabulary

(Trends in Evaluation Vocabulary)

Assignment trends in evaluation vocabulary

Background:

As evaluation has grown as a discipline over the past 50 years, scholars and practitioners from multiple disciplines have contributed to the vocabulary within the field. Consider the following example of the way one term, validity, has evolved within evaluation. In early publications from the 1960s, scholars suggested that validity of evaluation studies be based on the concept of validity as it is understood within experimental research. Validity is a core concept that forms the foundation of any basic understanding of research. Ernest House, an evaluation expert, challenged this definition and pushed for the reconceptualization of validity in evaluation research. He sought to broaden the concept to include issues of fairness, coherence, and justice as indicators of or threats to validity within evaluation. Although House argument may seem minor, it has contributed to a greater emphasis on the social justice aspect of evaluation. After all, many if not most programs that are evaluated have the aim of improving lives. Even if technical research specifications and ethical guidelines are followed, without scrutinizing program evaluation for fairness and a sense of justice to the purpose of the program and its recipients, validity may be lacking.

For this Assignment, you will explore glossaries of evaluation terminology and consider any trends that appear during your analysis.

To Prepare:

  • Conduct an Internet search for glossaries on evaluation.
  • As you locate vocabularies, taxonomies, and glossaries, take note of how they have changed or remained the same over the decades. Also, consider their breadth or depth, as well as specific instances of how terms are treated similarly or differently across them.
  • Select 15 resources to use for this Assignment.
  • You will need to create an annotated bibliography of these sources.

To Do:

  • Create a chronological citation list of 15 resources you located.
  • Use APA formatting and provide a hyperlink to each one.
  • Annotate the list with your observations about how the glossaries are similar or different (around 150 words for each citation).
  • Explain any trends that appeared during your research.

Directions

Requirements: Project update: Provide a review of your Plan stage of the PDSA Improvement Model. Include:
1. Aim statement
2. Changes made
3. Changes based on evidence based sources?
4. What criteria have you chosen to measure success?
Length (at least 250-350 words)

1. LP04 Journal Content: Provided a review of your Plan stage of the PDSA Improvement Model including changes made.

Project Update: Review of Plan Stage of the PDSA Improvement Model

In the Plan stage of the PDSA cycle, my goal was to identify and plan improvements based on evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes. The aim of the project is to improve the early mobilization of ICU patients to reduce the risk of complications such as pressure ulcers, deep vein thrombosis, and muscle atrophy.

  1. Aim Statement: The aim of this project is to improve the early mobilization of ICU patients within 24 hours of admission by 30% over the next three months, in order to reduce hospital-associated complications and enhance recovery.
  2. Changes Made: Based on evidence from clinical guidelines and nursing practice recommendations, several changes have been implemented. These include:
    • Establishing a protocol for early assessment by physical therapy within the first 12 hours of ICU admission.
    • Training ICU staff on the importance of early mobilization and encouraging collaborative efforts between nurses, physical therapists, and respiratory therapists.
    • Creating a tracking system to monitor the frequency and effectiveness of early mobilization interventions.
  3. Changes Based on Evidence-Based Sources: The changes were guided by evidence-based sources, particularly clinical guidelines and research studies that demonstrate the effectiveness of early mobilization in preventing ICU-related complications. A study by Schweickert et al. (2009) highlighted the importance of early physical therapy and mobility in improving patient outcomes, while a review by Hodgson et al. (2014) emphasized the reduction in ICU delirium and muscle weakness through early mobilization. These sources helped inform the implementation of the early mobilization protocol and the involvement of interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  4. Criteria for Measuring Success: Success will be measured using the following criteria:
    • The percentage of ICU patients who receive early mobilization interventions within the first 24 hours of admission.
    • Reduction in the incidence of complications such as pressure ulcers, deep vein thrombosis, and ICU-acquired weakness.
    • Feedback from staff through surveys on the effectiveness and feasibility of the early mobilization protocol.
    • Patient outcomes related to length of ICU stay and overall recovery.

In conclusion, the Plan stage has been an essential part of the PDSA cycle, as it allowed for evidence-based changes to be strategically planned and integrated into the ICU’s routine care practices. These changes are expected to lead to measurable improvements in patient outcomes, which will be tracked and analyzed during the Do and Study stages of the PDSA cycle.

Business Reporting and Research

Business Reporting and Research

(Business Reporting and Research)

Discussion 1

Think of a time (in your current or past place of employment) when you created a business report. If you have never created a business report, think of a potential situation relevant to your field of study in which a business report would be needed. What kinds of Internet research could you do to gather relevant information? What search terms would you use?

Discussion 2

What is the purpose of an executive summary? What items need to be included in an executive summary?

Student’s reply

I was a project manager at the time I wrote the business report. My team was implementing a technology known as Optical Character Recognition (OCR). OCR detects words on pages and converts them into electronic fields for other computer systems to ingest. The business area that was requesting the implementation of OCR wanted the OCR software to perform with 100% accuracy. The IT team felt this was unreasonable so I began doing some internet research around industry standards to discuss a reasonable expectation with the business area. I searched for terms like “OCR”, “OCR gold standard” and “OCR accuracy” and learned 65-75% accuracy was a more realistic target.

Requirement: I need two totally different short answers for each question (Total 6 answers)

(Business Reporting and Research)

Discussion 1 – Answer 1:
In my role as a healthcare administrator, I once needed to create a business report analyzing patient no-show rates and their impact on revenue. Internet research was crucial to find best practices for reducing no-show rates. I searched terms like “reducing patient no-shows,” “appointment reminder systems,” and “healthcare scheduling strategies” to identify effective solutions and industry benchmarks.

Discussion 1 – Answer 2:
As a nursing student, I envisioned a situation where I would need to prepare a business report evaluating the cost-effectiveness of telehealth services in rural areas. For research, I could look up “telehealth cost-benefit analysis,” “telehealth adoption in rural communities,” and “impact of telehealth on patient outcomes” to gather data and case studies to support the report.

Discussion 2 – Answer 1:
An executive summary serves to provide a concise overview of a report for decision-makers who may not have time to read the entire document. It should include the purpose of the report, key findings, recommendations, and any critical data supporting conclusions, allowing readers to quickly grasp the report’s value.

Discussion 2 – Answer 2:
The purpose of an executive summary is to summarize the main points of a report clearly and persuasively, enabling busy stakeholders to make informed decisions. It should include the report’s objective, a summary of findings, the methodology used, and any actionable recommendations or conclusions drawn.

Student’s Reply – Feedback 1:
Your example demonstrates an effective use of internet research to set realistic expectations for stakeholders. Including terms like “OCR industry standards” could further refine the search to identify benchmark data from reliable sources.

Student’s Reply – Feedback 2:
Your research approach is sound and highlights the importance of managing expectations with evidence-based data. For added rigor, exploring terms like “OCR performance limitations” or “factors affecting OCR accuracy” might provide deeper insights into achievable outcomes.

Call Center Relocation Strategy

Call Center Relocation Strategy

(Call Center Relocation Strategy)

Review the case study below, and answer the questions that are provided. Provide complete and detailed responses to each question. Your paper must be at least three pages in length.

The Closing and Relocation of a Call Center

In this case study, you are the regional human resource director for a Fortune 500 company. You receive an unexpected visit from your vice president of human resources (VP of HR), who informs you that there is a reorganization taking place within your company. He starts by explaining that the president of the company has decided to retire after 28 years, and the new president has decided to move the current headquarters from the Northeast to Texas. No business reason was provided. There will be almost 1,000 employees redeployed since the company has existed in the Northeast for more than 75 years. This information will be released to employees within the next week.

The call center—with more than 500 employees, including your office that is located within it—will also be relocated to another southern state. All employees will be offered their current positions and a relocation package if they wish to move. Those who do not want to relocate will be given a severance package with outplacement services provided.

Mr. Davis, your VP of HR, is aware that you hired most of the individuals working in the call center and that you are very familiar with the culture and employee status. This news will be devastating to the employees because they have made this the most productive and efficient call center within this global corporation. Mr. Davis came to get your advice on how to best handle the communications plan for announcing this news in your region.

Mr. Davis has taken care of notifications to the state and federal government (i.e., the 60-day notice required according to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification [WARN] Act, which announces that the business is relocating and that employees will be redeployed). From previous experience, Mr. Davis shares with you that you will be contacted by the state to set up meetings so that the state may address all of the employees concerning the state benefits and services available to the employees.

(Call Center Relocation Strategy)

Mr. Davis shares two important messages from the new president: (1) Although this news may be unsettling to many employees, business must be conducted in the same professional manner as always, with the least amount of disruption; and (2) whether the employees decide to relocate or not, while they are employed, they must maintain productivity levels, and their metrics will be monitored as usual.

Mr. Davis informs you that Mr. Woods, senior vice president (SVP) of the region, who is responsible for the call center, is being told of this reorganization via a conference call with his boss on the West Coast and the president of the company. Mr. Woods will be joining you and Mr. Davis to plan the communications shortly. Mr. Davis wants to get a head start on planning with you because he has a flight scheduled back to headquarters that afternoon.

You begin to outline a plan for the communications strategy; for example, you include information that will assist Mr. Woods in preparation for his meeting with his direct reports where he will deliver the news. Other questions you think about during the development of the outline are as follows: What information will Mr. Woods give to his direct reports this afternoon, and what will he give them to share with their managers and employees? Mr. Davis sees your outline, and he encourages you to develop your outline into a communication plan/plan of action and to continue to share it with Mr. Woods.

Before Mr. Davis leaves for the airport, he asks you to report back to him with any issues or difficulties you are experiencing with employees. Mr. Davis also asks that you report the following information to him: How many employees do you think will want to relocate? What do they want to know about the new location? What can he do to help answer these questions for the employees? What can he do to assist you with the communication plan or any activities you plan within the next 60-day period? Mr. Davis gives you all of his contact numbers and reminds you that he is available to you for questions and concerns at any time.

Analyze the information presented in this case study, present your communication plan, and answer the questions below.

(Call Center Relocation Strategy)

Your case study paper should be at least three pages in length and should follow APA guidelines. Your communication plan should address the following questions:

  1. What are your concerns? For example, how will you motivate the employees to stay throughout the 60 days if they have other job offers? How will you motivate all employees to maintain their productivity levels?
  2. In the article “Semper Fidelis! A Recipe for Leading Others,” which is part of your Required Reading for this unit, Aubrey Daniels describes how a person earns leadership status and explains the importance of positive reinforcement. How will your plan help you to establish yourself as a positive reinforcer?
  3. What leadership style does Mr. Davis exhibit?
  4. Propose at least three leadership theories that could be applied to this situation. How will these theories advance or affect employee motivation?

You are required to incorporate information from at least 5 sources. All sources used must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations and references. Your paper should be formatted in APA style to include a title page and reference page.

3.The correlation coefficient between “Months with service (tenure)” and “Household Income (income)” is 0.243 as obtained from SPSS. This value is significant at the 1% level of significance. This implies that there is a weak positive linear relationship between the two variables. That is, as the value of Months with service increases, the value of household income increases slightly.

  1. Correlation doesn’t necessarily mean causation. Correlation measures the degree of association between the two variables, or in other words, it measures the strength of the linear relationship between them. However, causation implies that a change in one variable is caused by the other.

  1. The value of the correlation coefficient is 0.243. There is a weak positive linear relationship between the two variables. That is, as the value of Months with service increases, the value of household income increases slightly.

  1. According to Kendall’s tau_b, the value of the correlation coefficient is -0.112. This implies that there is a weak negative relationship or almost no relationship between the two variables.

According to Spearman’s rho, the value of the correlation coefficient is -0.152. This also implies that there is a weak negative relationship or almost no relationship between the two variables.

  1. I used a one-tailed test to test the significance of the negative relationship between the two variables, namely “Level of Education” and “Age in Years.” Here, my null hypothesis is that the value of the correlation coefficient is not significant, that is, p = 0. While my alternative hypothesis is that the value of the correlation coefficient is significant, that is, p < 0.

  1. The Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient is calculated between two variables measured on an interval or ratio scale of measurement. The ratio level of measurement has equal differences between scale values and equal quantitative meaning. It has a true zero point, meaning that a value of zero on the scale represents zero quantity of the construct being assessed. Here, both tenure and income variables are measured on a ratio scale of measurement.

Spearman’s and Kendall’s correlation coefficients are calculated between two variables measured on an ordinal scale. The ordinal level of measurement describes variables that can be ordered or ranked in some order of importance. Here, age and education are measured on an ordinal scale. It measures the monotonic relationship between the two variables.
